The phone rings
Say it is a Tuesday evening in July and a storm has just crossed the north side of Colorado Springs. You call (719) 249-8261. Our call assistant answers, takes your name, address, a callback number and a description of what you see, and flags whether water is coming inside. The call is answered the same way at 3 p.m. or on a holiday weekend.
The callback
A person from our office reads the call notes and phones you back the same day. If water is coming in, a tarp visit is booked first. Otherwise an inspection time is set, and you are told which roofing contractor will come out.
The inspection
The inspector climbs the roof, chalks test squares on each slope, photographs hail hits, dented vents and gutters, and checks the attic. The photos are sent to you that day, with an explanation of what they show.
The estimate and the claim
The estimator measures the roof and writes an itemized scope, with standard and Class 4 shingle options side by side. If you file a claim, the estimator can meet your adjuster on the roof and later compares the carrier's estimate with ours line by line.
The permit and the crew
Our office files the permit with the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department and schedules the crew around the weather. The crew tears off, replaces any soft decking you have approved, installs ice and water shield, underlayment, flashing and shingles, then sweeps the property with magnets.
The finish
The office books the PPRBD inspection, registers the manufacturer warranty, and sends you the paperwork. All of the roofing in this story is performed by independent, registered and insured local contractors, not by the operator of this website; see the referral disclosure and about page.
