Shingle repair and replacement in Colorado Springs
Single shingles swapped, whole slopes re-shingled, or an upgrade to impact-rated shingles built for hail country.

Asphalt shingles cover most homes in Colorado Springs, and the climate is hard on them. Ultraviolet light is stronger at six thousand feet, so the asphalt dries out faster; hail knocks granules loose; and freeze-thaw cycles open small cracks. Shingle work is the bread and butter of roofing here.
Three levels of shingle work
Spot replacement
A few damaged shingles replaced and sealed. Good for branch strikes and isolated wind damage on a roof with life left.
Slope replacement
One side of the roof re-shingled, typically the west or south face that takes the worst sun and wind. Only worth doing when the rest of the roof is in good shape and the shingles still match.
Full re-shingle
The whole roof, done as a roof replacement with tear-off and a permit.

Impact-rated shingles
Class 4 shingles have a modified asphalt or reinforced mat that lets them flex under a hailstone instead of fracturing. They are heavier and cost more. If your roof has been through more than one hail claim, they are worth pricing; we always quote them next to standard architectural shingles.
Questions about shingle repair
Architectural or three-tab?
Almost every job here uses architectural (laminated) shingles now. They are thicker, look better and hold up to wind better than three-tab.
Can I replace just the damaged side after hail?
Sometimes, but insurers and matching often push toward the whole roof. We will show you both prices.
How long do shingles last here?
Fewer years than the label suggests in many cases, because of sun and hail. A roof that has dodged major hail does much better.
